NMB Bank Contributes NPR 35.1 Million to Support Bhotekoshi Flood-Affected Communities

Kathmandu : NMB Bank has contributed NRs. 35.1 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts for communities affected by the devastating Bhotekoshi River flash flood.

The cheque was formally handed over by the Chairman of the bank's Board of Directors to the Finance Minister.

In addition to the monetary aid, the bank provided essential relief materials worth NRs. 10 Lakhs to the affected citizens.

The sudden and severe flooding has caused significant loss of life and property in areas along the river, including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Chitwan. Many families have been displaced, while roads, local infrastructure, and hydropower projects have also suffered major damage.

The Bank is providing this support to help meet the immediate needs of affected communities and support their recovery. The contribution is expected to assist with medical treatment, food and shelter, as well as the rebuilding of damaged infrastructure.
