Proton e.MAS 5 Becomes a Major Attraction at Naima Nepal Mobility Expo 2026

Kathmandu : The newly launched compact electric SUV Proton e.MAS 5, introduced recently in the Nepali market by Jagdamba Motors Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of Proton vehicles in Nepal, has emerged as one of the major attractions at the Naima Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.

The expo, being held from August 11 to 16 (Shrawan 26 to 31), provides customers and auto enthusiasts an opportunity to closely explore and book the new e.MAS 5 at Stall L-6, Hall B. Since its launch, the vehicle has been receiving a strong response and a high volume of bookings, while also drawing significant attention from visitors and automobile enthusiasts at the expo.

The e.MAS 5 is the first vehicle in its segment to be built on a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) platform. The platform provides balanced weight distribution, enhanced driving dynamics, improved stability, and easy handling. According to the company, these features help ensure a safe and comfortable driving experience on busy urban roads, highways, and Nepal’s hilly roads.

Designed to complement modern lifestyles, the e.MAS 5 offers three smart storage solutions for improved convenience. These include a 70-liter front storage compartment, a segment-leading 28-liter under-seat storage compartment, and a 20-liter storage space beneath the center console. The company says these features allow users to organize everyday items efficiently while making optimum use of the available cabin space.

Other key features include rear multi-link independent suspension, 375-liter boot space, a 14.6-inch Full HD display unit, an impressive 36.9-meter braking distance, and a G-Traction Control System. The vehicle also comes with a 4.95-meter turning radius, segment-first rear-wheel-drive system, a wide 65-degree door-opening angle, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology that enables the vehicle to power external electrical devices.

The Premium variant is equipped with an 85 kW 11-in-1 electric motor, along with premium features such as a powered tailgate and 360-degree camera. The Proton e.MAS 5 is available in two variants—Prime and Premium. The company has set the updated market price at NPR 3.299 million for the Prime variant and NPR 3.699 million for the Premium variant.
